The Pipeline Technology Center (CTDUT), located in Campos Elíseos (RJ), was inaugurated in 2006, as a result of a partnership between Petrobras, Transpetro and Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ), as a laboratory for shared use of the pipeline community.

CTDUT has increased the capacity of the Brazilian technology park by meeting the pipeline sector demand for facilities suitable for the performance of practical demonstrations, tests in full scale, technical expertise and technological and laboratory infrastructure for research and development of technological innovations.
